  Child Support....what a fun topic.  This post will cover some basics of child support as far as how it is calculated, what the Court will  consider for increasing or decreasing a support order, the two ways of how to apply/modify support, and cash medical support.  The major numbers that are factored into a child support order are the income the of the parties, the cost of health insurance coverage for the family, and childcare expenses such as daycare.  There are several factors that a court can consider on whether to increase or decrease a child support order. Getting a Divorce in the State of Ohio

  The ending of a marriage can be a sad and uncertain time. At Wagner Law, we are here to make the process more manageable.  In the State of Ohio, there are three ways to end a marriage: divorce, dissolution, and annulment. This post will cover divorce and dissolution (traditional and collaborative).  In order to end your marriage in the State of Ohio, you must be a resident of the state for at least 6 months. You must reside in your county for at least 90 days. If you and your spouse live in two different counties for at least 90 days, you have a choice of which county to file in.  Divorce Divorce is when you and your spouse cannot agree on anything and need the court for guidance. A divorce without children can take up to one year. I would like to start off this blog by introducing myself.  I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio on the westside. I attended Walnut Hills High School and was a cheerleader for four years. I also participated in theater classes and productions throughout my time at Walnut Hills.  Walnut prepared me for my next steps in life. I attended Butler University in Indianapolis where I majored in history and minored in psychology. Law school became an interest of mine at age 16. If I could not make it in, then I wanted to teach high school history.  I was lucky enough to be accepted to the University of Dayton School of Law. While at UD, I fell in love with family law.
